Empowering BIPOC Folx to Embody Their Truths

Christina Cacho Sakai, LMFT #46249 In this image we can see flags that represent Mexico and its traditions.

Welcome! I am so glad you are here.

I am driven by a powerful purpose:

to help BIPOC folx embody their truths.

Too often, we find ourselves caught in a state of "in-betweenness," where we feel we don't quite fit into mainstream culture and yet may also experience a sense of not fully belonging to our personal cultures.

I am here to assist you in shedding what no longer serves you, grounding into your bodily wisdom, and embracing your true identities.

I firmly believe that when we embody our truths, life flows more easily.

"If we carry intergenerational trauma (and we do), then we also carry intergenerational wisdom. It's in our genes and in our DNA."

– Kazu Haga

Answering the Call for Therapeutic Support

My inspiration behind starting my private practice stemmed from the overwhelming need for therapeutic services, especially within the BIPOC community. I recognized the profound longing for BIPOC folx to be seen, heard, acknowledged, understood, and empowered. As a Latinx therapist, I am passionate about serving our community and providing the therapeutic support that is essential for our collective healing.

Embodying Truths, Cultivating Resilience

My mission is simple yet profound: to empower BIPOC folx to embody their truths. Together, we will navigate the complexities of being "in-between" cultures, releasing the burdens that no longer serve you and embracing the wisdom of your body. I firmly believe that by embodying our truths, we can move through life with more ease.

What Sets Me Apart

As a Mexican-American somatic therapist, I bring a unique approach to healing. I incorporate an awareness and utilization of the body to support the release, recovery, and resilience-building from traumatic experiences. Additionally, I foster a therapeutic environment that values and encourages cultural and creative elements. This may include integrating food, music, dance, art, symbols, stories, games, and language of origin into the process.
